Hazard names his favourite to win Best FIFA Men’s Player award
- The Chelsea ace expects Luka Modric will win despite he would like "his friend" Mo Salah to pick up the award
- Modric, Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo are on the shortlist
- Five-time Balon d'Or winner Lionel Messi failed to be nominated for the first time since 2006
- Chelsea duo N'Golo Kante and Eden Hazard are expected to be named in FIFA FIFPro World 11
“I want Mohamed Salah to win because he is my friend but I think it [will be] Modric,” the 27-year-old said, speaking to Gary Neville on Sky Sports.
Hazard has also shared his hopes to be included in the shortlist next season. “If next year I’m in the final three, it will be good,” he added. “But it is not something on my mind.
“I just want to enjoy my football and if I can be one of the best I will be.”
