Sarri issues sad explanation why he didn't replace Jorginho
- Sarri claims he has no replacements for Jorginho and Chelsea need to sign someone who could replace the midfielder.
- The manager says he has informed the club chiefs on that and it's up to the club to make further decisions.
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was arguably the worst Blues player against Newcastle on Saturday but he played all 90 minutes. After the game manager Maurizio Sarri explained why he didn't replace Jorginho. But the latter will hardly be happy with the explanation - it's not about his skill or anything of the kind.
At the news conference, Sarri claimed he has no one on the bench to use in Jorginho's position. The manager insists Chelsea need to sign 'another option' but he 'can't do anything more' after he informed the bosses about it.
"As you have seen today, Jorginho was in trouble and on the bench there wasn’t a player for that position," Sarri told the reporters. "So I need a player for that position, I need another option for Jorginho.
"The club knows very well my opinion. I need a player there so it depends on the club’s decision, I can’t do anything more."
