Rio Ferdinand slams Jorginho after Arsenal game: 'He can't run'
- Chelsea dropped three points at Emirates.
- The midfielder's performance was one of the main disappointments of the game.
- The ex-defender believes the Italian is useless both at the back and up front.
Rio Ferdinand, Manchester United's former defender and currently a pundit for BT Sport has shared his thoughts on Jorginho's unimpressive display against Arsenal:
"Jorginho is someone who sets the tempo of the game. You get the ball to him through the middle third of the pitch, he’s very good. How many assists has he got this season? Around 2000 passes, no assists. He’s not a great defender. Once again, in a game like this against a big team, he gets overrun in midfield. He can’t run."
"So, he doesn’t give you anything defensively, and he doesn’t give you anything at the other end of the pitch."
Since the start of the season, the Italian midfielder has taken part in every Premier League game except for the Wolves defeat. However, he is yet to register an assist. Maurizio Sarri has already admitted Cesc Fabregas' departure made the situation even worse as there's no nobody to replace the Jorginho.
