Unai Emery is 'optimistic' about catching up with Chelsea in the Premier League table
- The Blues didn't manage to outplay Arsenal for the second time this season.
- The Gunners are now only three points behind Maurizio Sarri's side.
- Man City and Tottenham are among our next five Premier League opponents.
As The Blues lost to The Gunners at Emirates, the gap between the teams bridged to only three points. Unai Emery was definitely happier after the Saturday clash than after the game at Stamford Bridge last August when Maurizio Sarri's team won 3-2.
"We wanted to win for our fans," the Spaniard told BT Sport. "The difference in the table [between ourselves and Chelsea] was six points, but this victory can help us be optimistic. We can be happy after today, but we need to take things game by game.
"We need to find the right balance at home and away. At home you can show all the supporters what you can do. The difference between last match and today’s game is very big, even with the same players, so we need to find that balance."
The Blues' next five Premier League opponents are: Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Manchester City, Brighton and Tottenham.
