Gonzalo Higuain latest: Krzysztof Piatek holding strikers' marry-go-round up

Eugene Vasilev 26 days ago Fabrizio Romano I David Ornstein I Alfredo Pedullà

  • Higuain may be expected for Chelsea medical on Tuesday.
  • His move hinges on Pentek's transfer to AC Milan.
  • Morata is Atletico Madrid-bound.

Gonzalo Higuain should have joined Chelsea long ago but his move has been impeded by the merry-go-round he, Maurizio Sarri, and three more clubs set in motion. Now however, by all accounts, the Argentinian should crop up in London on Tuesday for his medical. The most informed sources already know the details:

#Higuain tomorrow in #London. Ready for medicals #Chelsea

Alvaro Morata is heading to Atletico Madrid and he's quite likely already played his final game for the Blues. If that's confirmed indeed, the Spaniard's Chelsea record will be 24 goals in 72 appearances:

AC Milan are waiting to have a replacement for Higuain with 13-goal striker Krzysztof Piatek from Genoa seemingly all but set to sign for Rossoneri in a deal worth about €35m plus add-ons.

Gonzalo Higuain still in Italy as AC Milan try to secure Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek as replacement, enabling Higuain to join Chelsea. If agreement on all sides, financials/medicals should be quick. Genoa chief Giorgio Perinetti says conclusion to talks within 48 hours #CFC #ACMilan

Higuain, like Morata, will join his club on loan but the Blues will be able to buy the 31-year-old out in the summer. Olivier Giroud will likely remain a back-up with less than 6 month remaining in his contract.

Should've we have moved for Piatek instead?

All of the above God will surely punish sarri for making our players felt very bad... Using hazard as our false 9 and kante as our attacking midfielder... Sarri most go

Usman you're an idiot for expressing your opinion in an insulting manner... But let me ask you, if madam Morata and Girls were performing as expected, will there be any need to play hazard as false 9? And for kante is still remains one of the best attacking midfielders in his new role in Europe. Instead of blaming Sarri, why not channel the blame to the board who has refused to strengthen the team despite the weaknesses experienced last season. Man City has one of the best squad in Europe yet the still bring in one or two players to further strengthen the team. Chelsea board are busy looking for cheap and old players on free transfer. Nonsense

I think i totally agreed with you to an extend the major problem facing the Club is this kind of board who pin pointing players that are good everyone would love to see in the club then same board began pricing them as biscuits in the open market. They should strengthen areas in the current squad that required strengthen than these merry go round they are doing about player.

Thanks for this comment I did not know there is someone on this app that reason like this because all their suggestions and comments always makes me to ask myself is this really a Chelsea APP or Manchester Liverpool and Arsenal APP because all I see is people saying negative of the same man they praise after he won Manchester City match so the question is are they hypocrites or are they really a Chelsea fan. People that heal you when you win and sack you when you make one mistake

All yee fans! When chelsea is winning games, you don't remember that kante's new role contributed to the success. But once chelsea loses a game, you automatically attribute it to kante's new role and how it is Sarri's fault. Mhen pick a side!

Sarri won man city and drew Liverpool becos they played d same pattern of futbal, and sarriball is great on possession, others won Chelsea wit different style, rem no plan B, d first tym Chelsea change a little bit and introduced hazard as force 9, come as surprise to pep and we won against city, since den Chelsea is very easy to predict, beliv me or not
