Will Chelsea bounce back from the Carabao Cup first leg defeat to Tottenham? Michael Owen has his say
- The Blues face Spurs on Thursday.
- They lost the first leg of the League Cup semifinal 1-0.
- The pundit expects Chelsea to get a narrow win at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues will try to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat to Spurs in the first leg of the League Cup semifinals on Thursday. Michael Owen has shared his expectations of Chelsea's upcoming clash:
"Spurs have won their last three games against rivals Chelsea, but I expect the Blues to bounce back after their disappointing reverse at the Emirates on Saturday evening – although Arsenal were outstanding on the night and thoroughly deserved the three points.
"It promises to be tight and tense at the Bridge and remember, away goals do not count in the competition this season. Chelsea to get a narrow win for me in a tie I feel could go all the way to extra-time and penalties."
Taking into consideration the absence of Tottenham's key players (Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Heung-min Son are expected to miss the game), The Blues have a great opportunity to advance to the Carabao Cup final.
