Chelsea tier 1 source: 'Business as usual, Sarri to take training on Monday'
- Chelsea don't seem to have plans to sack Sarri.
- The Italian will take charge of the Monday's session.
- He's understood to be yet to speak to Abramovich since joining the club.
Top tier source for Chelsea in Simon Johnson from Evening Standard has notified via his Twitter that Maurizio Sarri is to likely continue as the head coach and he will be on the training ground on Monday to prepare the players for the Europa League clash against Malmo in Thursday:
Chelsea are up for baptism of fire next with the next five games taking space within just 14 days. Maurizio Sarri will clash with Pep Guardiola again in the Carabao Cup final next week thus having a chance to make up for the 6-0 defeat last Sunday.
The head coach has complained about difficulties motivating his own players while some fans wonder why he then doesn't make changes to the squad accordingly so the 'low-motivation' personnel would stay away.
Guardiola on Sarri's situation at Chelsea: "People don't understand how difficult it is to do something. People expect a manager to arrive, or to buy players and immediately it comes. It needs time." pic.twitter.com/Sfap0p0LYp— Sam Lee (@Sammy_Goal) February 10, 2019
According to Sarri himself, he's yet to discuss his situation with Roman Abramovich whose visa difficulties have denied him an entrance to the UK.
