Fan Voice: Our users name the reason why Chelsea failed to win vs Burnley
It was a quite poor defending performance from Chelsea defenders.
221 votes - Few chances were created
After the insane first half when the two teams scored four goals, the game's tempo died down significantly. Burnley sat back and defended the draw relentlessly, while Chelsea struggled to create chances.
Zola says that we created chances, but maybe in the second half we should have been more precise in the opposition box, but it is not easy to break Burnley down. #CHEBUR— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) 22 апреля 2019 г.
314 votes - Injuries affected our game
Callum Hudson-Odoi and N'Golo Kante were taken off due to the fitness problems - and that had a significant impact on our game. With two of the Blue engines gone, Chelsea couldn't keep up with the tempo anymore.
Really gutted to end my season with an Ruptured Achilles, gotta work hard and try and come back stronger for next season!!!😢🙏🏾❤️ pic.twitter.com/PXC53WszdH— Callum Hudson-Odoi (@Calteck10) 22 апреля 2019 г.
2067 votes - Terrible defending at set pieces
We conceded twice from the set pieces. In the first case, no one closed down their player on the edge of the area, and Burnley midfielder had a clear shot at the goal. With the second one - it was a free kick, and our defence was caught out of position.
Everyone of those Chelsea players attempting to defend that were watching the ball. Basics man. Terrible defending again.— Simon Phillips (@SiPhillipsSport) 22 апреля 2019 г.
