Goal: Chelsea and Leganes €2.5m apart in Omeruo's valuation
- The Nigerian centre-back is keen to stay in La Liga.
- Leganes offer €4.5m while the Blues ask for €7m.
- Omeruo is one of the most seasoned Loan Army members.
Chelsea are holding out for a €7mln price tag for Kenneth Omeruo, Goal reports.
However, Leganes who are negotiating a permanent move for the Nigerian centre-back have submitted a €4.5mln bid which is not likely to be accepted.
It is understood, however, that the La Liga side will be able to raise necessary funds by selling their in-demand striker to one of the Premier League sides.
Youssef En-Nesyri is reported to be a target for the likes of West Ham and Brighton. The 22-year-old Morocсan is Leganes' most expensive signing at €6mln, a sum which could be surpassed if Chelsea do not budge.
Omeruo, 25, has made it obvious that he wants a permanent move away from Chelsea, and his preferred choice would be to stay at Leganes where he spent the last year on loan.
"I think now’s the time for me to leave, to find a place, to be my own man," he said. "I’m married with a baby now, so I need stability. Chelsea have done amazingly for me, and for my family as well, but it’s time for me to reach my potential and get where I think I deserve to be."
All in all, Kenneth has spent 5 last seasons on loan from Chelsea:
- 2014–2015 Middlesbrough
- 2015–2016 Kasımpaşa
- 2016–2017 Alanyaspor
- 2017–2018 Kasımpaşa
- 2018–2019 Leganes
