'Show proper support instead of bitching!': Chelsea fan urges Lampard's critics to bury the hatchet

Tribuna.com's Chelsea fan Winkle is adamant it's not the time to criticise Lampard who has too many problems to solve and too many tasks on his hands. Besides, Lampard's Chelsea are not bad at all compared to some managers of the past.

Here is what Winkle writes in the comments on our app: "Improvements in defence will come, Rudiger will be back soon enough and then the likes of Tomori and even Zouma can learn from him as they play alongside.

"This was always going to be an up and down season and mistakes were going to be made along the way. Nobody should be expecting Chelsea to be challenging for honours this season but instead, be focussed on what the future will bring.

"You can't fix everything at once, put yourself in Frank's shoes...where would you start and how much time do you allow before you move on to the next stage?

"Improving confidence and ability with the younger players? Shoring up the defence? Finding your best 11? Developing your tactical knowledge for own league? Implementing your plans and ideas to get consistency? Looking at which academy or loan players may make the grade next? 

"A thankless task for most people so how about everybody just get behind Frank and the club and show proper support instead of bitching when things don't go to plan? Some of us have seen FAR worse from Chelsea over the years."
