Leo Messi to miss Elche clash, Barcelona's appeal on 2-game ban rejected: RAC1

1 month ago, Den Schepanskyi

Barca will be without Leo on Sunday.

  • Barcelona's appeal on Lionel Messi's 2-game ban has been rejected by the Spanish FA's Competition Committee, RAC1's Gerard Romero reports.
  • Thus, the Argentine, who sat out Thursday's win over Cornella in the Spanish Cup, won't be available for selection in Sunday's La Liga encounter at Elche.
  • The 33-year-old was banned for two matches after receiving a red card in Barca's loss to Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup final last weekend.

Anyway if u look at the bright side, Messi is still recovering from his injury as he was rushed to play the athletic Bilbao game. So he should rest well and see him in the next game with him be at his top Form.
