ESPN: Neymar's the main priority for Perez
Regardless of the insufficient performance at the World Cup, PSG's Neymar is still the candidate no.1 for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, several reports state.
According to news published on Wednesday, the president of the Madrid club wants to act quickly after the loss of its key player, Cristiano Ronaldo, and trusts on Neymar's will to transfer to Santiago Bernabeu.
It's worth mentioning that the possible future deal will mostly depend on the Brazilian's desire to play at Real Madrid, as PSG aren't the ones in need of selling their players desperately.
For sure, Real Madrid are looking through all the alternatives: for long the club has been linked with some imposing names like Kylian Mbappe, Eden Hazard, Harry Kane. But the deal with the Brazilian forward included is something Perez dreams of in a long time.
Neymar underperforming at the World Cup hasn’t changed Florentino’s mind, he’s still his number one choice. But it’ll be hard convincing PSG who have unlimited resources to sell their big bet and only after 1 year from paying his €222M buyout clause from Barça.
