MD: 3 reasons why Manchester United declined Vidal
- Manchester United allegedly "rejected" Vidal because of his injury proneness, age and requested price
As reported by the Sun and Mirror, before heading to Barcelona, Arturo Vidal had a chance to move to Old Trafford.
Why didn't it happen? The Spanish sources reveal 3 reasons why United "rejected" the Chilean.
1. Knee injury
The first reason is Vidal's knee injury. During the last years, the player is definitely at risk as he'd suffered his knee twice and the relapse could happen any time.
United "were worried about the Chilean not being able to keep his aggressive playing style."

The second reason is the age of the Chilean midfielder. The club, realizing that the midfielder is aged 31, has been quite sure "he is beginning to enter the period of his career's decline and it seems that United would prefer to hire someone with a little more athletic longevity."
The third and final reason would go down the price marked by Bayern Munich, "far above what United would offer."
