L'Equipe: Lyon to battle Everton for Mina
- According to the main French newspaper, the Ligue 1 side remain confident they could still sign the Colombian
- The French team could offer Mina the Champions League football unlike Everton
- However, the Premier League side have made a better bid: €32m compared to Lyon's €25m
Monday's edition of L'Equipe claims Lyon are still confident that they could land Barca central defender Yerry Mina despite Everton's pursuit. The French-based club could provide the Colombian the Champions League football which is not an option in case of Everton. Both sides are now taking concrete measures to land the talented youngster who impressed a lot during the World Cup in Russia.

Lyon are also hopeful the deal could work out thanks to their good relationship with Blaugrana. The two had already been involved in the Samuel Umtiti's transfer which satisfied both sides. Now Lyon want to sign Mina for €25m - the exact sum they received for their French defender back in 2016. Everton, meanwhile, are offering €32m which is slightly more.
The financial terms could become an issue as the other candidate to land the Colombian, Manchester United, were ready to offer about €40m. The deal, however, has fallen through because of Mina's personal financial demands, if The Sun is to be trusted. In any case, Manchester United have turned their sights at Spurs' Toby Alderweireld.
Mina impressed a lot at the Russia World Cup, having scored three goals. However, he is surplus to Barcelona requirements and occupies a vital spot to fit into the quota of the non-EU players. That's what Barcelona Live user iTunesNG Media has to say on Mina's future at Barcelona.
Where should Mina go?
