Sevilla coach Machin believes his side have a chance against Barca
- The new boss is certain the Rojiblancos could pull off a surprise
- Machin: 'Barcelona are specialists at finals'
Sevilla coach Pablo Machin, who has only taken over since late May, is calm despite facing the almighty Barcelona in the Spanish Supercopa. This game will take place on Sunday night, kick-off is at 10pm CET.
That's what Machin had to say ahead of the game, as quoted by Marca: "I am very calm and looking forward to playing my first final, above all we need to be competitive that is the key. It is a one-off game and a lot can happen, we have to be ready as more often than not they can favour us."
Machin also described the Catalans as 'specialists at finals'. "Clearly Barcelona are a great side, a specialist at finals and they have a lot of the best players in the world but this is one of the few sports where an inferior side can beat one that is better so we have our chances," he continued.
Finally, Machin answered to his Blaugrana counterpart Ernesto Valverde who previously claimed that Sevilla are in a better position because they had more time to prepare.
Machin finished up: "We starting training before it is true but we have players that have arrived since the start. Games are decided by quality which is really based on accuracy and Barcelona have this, and they have experience. We have to do what we can and know, and the minimum that we can demand is that we give our all on the pitch to win."
Will we manage to beat Sevilla?
