Guardiola recalls his time in Barcelona: 'These things happen once in a lifetime'
In his interview to Gazzetta dello Sport Manchester City boss Josep Guardiola recalled the time he was Barca manager.
He praised his players who won two Champions Leagues, two Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, three LaLiga Santanders, two Copa del Reys and three Spanish Super Cups.
"The two times we won the Champions League it was with seven players from the youth team, players like Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta and [Victor] Valdes. They all arrived at the club aged seven or eight and became stars.
"The club had confidence in me, I came through the underage categories and we had the money to buy great players.
"We also had the best player in the world. These things happen once in a lifetime.
"It makes me nostalgic to see those pictures of me there and the joy we had. In 20 years if we are still reading our story then it will be a great thing. It will be something that we left behind."
