JUST IN: Barca reportedly prepare sensational Coutinho-Neymar swap
- Neymar is still reportedly interested in the Camp Nou return.
- His replacement Coutinho, meanwhile, has sensationally lost his place in the Blaugrana starting line-up.
- According to Evening Standard, Barca could consider selling Cou to raise funds for Neymar's comeback.
Welcome to another episode of the soap opera 'Neymar returns to Barcelona'. The Brazilian is still heavily linked with his former club as he is reportedly unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain. He has been visiting his ex-teammates multiple times; moreover, there are rumours that the 26-year-old has even 'begged' the Catalan giants 'to take him back'.

His wish could now be granted in a rather peculiar way. Barca's record-breaking arrival, Philippe Coutinho, seems to be unhappy at the Camp Nou stadium even though it was only a year ago when the Catalans snatched him from Liverpool for €140 million. The Brazilian scored 10 goals during the second half of the 2017/2018 season, however, he has now been sensationally relegated to the bench.
Coutinho has only started only one of Barca's last five fixtures: the 1-1 draw to Tottenham in the final fixture of the Champions League group stage when the Catalan giants have already secured their first-place finish. The Brazilian has obviously failed to replace either Neymar as the left-forward or Andres Iniesta in the heart of the midfield.
Now highly reputable British source Evening Standard report on Barcelona's rather bold idea: they are allegedly going to sell Coutinho in summer which would fund their potential pursuit of their prodigal son, Neymar. Naturally, this sensational deal wouldn't come cheaply given the notoriously strained relationship between PSG and Barca. Nevertheless, Neymar's vocal desire to leave could help the Catalans.

Meanwhile, Coutinho's sale could possibly earn Barcelona around 200 million euros even though he is priced at just 140 million euros by the prominent source Transfermarkt. But we all know how inflation affects the transfer market. Let's prepare for yet another stage in the neverending 'Neymar-to-Barca' drama.
