Top source: Barca's €60m + Malcom offer for Willian was rejected
- The La Liga giants have renewed their interest in the Brazilian after failing to land him last summer.
- This time, Barca were willing to include winger Malcom in the deal.
- However, Chelsea have rejected the latest offer from the Catalan side.
On Thursday night, several top-tier British sources have reported that Barcelona have renewed their interest in Willian. The La Liga giants unsuccessfully tried to land the 30-year-old last summer, with Chelsea rejecting a €60 million bid.
This time, Barca tabled a 'cash plus player' offer for the Brazilian, with forward Malcom moving to Stamford Bridge in exchange. However, according to the Telegraph, Chelsea have rejected this offer as well.
As per Telegraph, even though Willian has just 18 months left on his current Chelsea deal, the Blues 'value him higher' than what Barcelona are willing to offer.
The Brazilian is regarded as a key man at Stamford Bridge and the Blues are unwilling to let any of the first-team players go in the January transfer window.
Barcelona signed Malcom for £38 million from Ligue 1 Bordeaux last summer. However, the Brazilian has failed to live up to expectations at the Camp Nou so far, struggling to nail down his place in the starting XI.
Malcom, who has struggled to cement his place in Barcelona's starting XI, is allegedly looking to play for first-team football. He has been linked with Chinese Guangzhou Evergrande, Everton and Lazio over the past few weeks.
