El Mundo: Neymar 'begging' for Barca return
- The Brazilian reportedly called Barcelona representatives on several occasions begging for a return to his old club
- He considers his move to PSG 'a mistake' and feels remorse after putting the club through an awful 'transfer saga' back in 2017
- Neymar's father has communicated these messages to Barcelona board for their consideration
Neymar continues to be heavily linked with the sensational Barcelona return even though his world-record €220m-move didn't go well with the Cules. The reports have emerged again about the Brazilian asking Barca to take him back.
This time one of Spain's biggest newspapers, El Mundo, claim that Neymar has called the representatives of the club five times, begging to return at the Camp Nou. His father has communicated to Barcelona that his son is 'sorry' for leaving the club.
Neymar Sr has even admitted that the decision of their camp to sign for PSG during the summer of 2017 was 'wrong' and that now his son feels remorse after putting the club through all this.
This report comes the next day after a shocking rumour about Coutinho-Neymar swap deal being prepared. Highly reputable British source Evening Standard claimed that Barca are allegedly going to sell Coutinho in summer which would fund their potential pursuit of their prodigal son, Neymar. Naturally, this sensational deal wouldn't come cheaply given the notoriously strained relationship between PSG and Barca. Nevertheless, Neymar's vocal desire to leave could help the Catalans.
On Tuesday, Catalan media claimed that Barcelona met Neymar's representatives in order to discuss the former Blaugrana player's potential return to the Camp Nou. It is suggested that Barcelona's director Andre Cury has had a meeting with agent Pini Zahavi and Neymar's close friend Alvaro Costa.
