Ernesto Valverde provides an update on Barca winter transfer plans
- Barca coach doesn't expect any more arrivals in winter after Jeison Murillo and Kevin-Prince Boateng's loan deals.
- Both Denis Suarez and Malcom don't have a 100% guaranteed place at the Camp Nou but Valverde understands that 'we can't be left without enough players'
"I don't think there will be any more signings," Valverde said at the news conference on Tuesday. "It's true that there's a possibility for Denis to leave, but I don't know what will happen in the end. Based on the information I have, I don't know."
"Until January 31 I can't rule anything out, but we can't be left without enough players, either," the coach added when asked about Malcom's potential departure.
This winter, Barcelona have signed 26-year-old centre-back Jeison Murillo and 31-year-old striker Kevin-Prince Boateng. Both players arrived on loan with an option to purchase from Valencia and Sassuolo respectively. In addition, Barcelona have secured the transfer of a highly-promising young defender Jean-Clair Todibo who will move to the Camp Nou after the season 2018/19 ends.
Meanwhile, it is only Munir El Haddadi who has parted ways with the Catalan side as he joined Sevilla looking for more minutes than he had at Barcelona under Ernesto Valverde. Denis Suarez and Malcom are two other players who are surrounded by rumours this winter. The Spaniard has been linked with Arsenal as the Gunners' head coach Unai Emery is eager to reunite with the 24-year-old at the Emirates.
