Everton loanee Gomes is yet to decide on his future with Barcelona
- The 25-year-old Barca loanee has made 22 appearances for the PL club this term
- He appears to be happy with his situation at Everton
- Gomes is yet to make a final decision on his future though
The 25-year-old has made 22 Premier League appearances for Toffees this season, becoming a fan favorite and a first choice player for head coach Marco Silva.
Yet he is still unsure whether he'd want to commit to Everton by the end of his loan spell this summer:
"I have to say that I am really happy here," Gomes said. "At the moment I am happy with everyone, [but] obviously I'm not so happy because as a club we want more.
Pay Barca whatever they want for Andre Gomes— Robin (@robingallagher_) March 9, 2019
"I am enjoying playing for Everton and enjoying my life here but I have to wait til the end of the season. I am one of the people who can decide the future but I am still a Barcelona player and I have to respect everybody.
"I will decide at the end of the season, but right now I am happy here."
Despite having a passing success rate of 84.6 per cent this term for Everton, Andre Gomes has always been considered to be a flop at Barcelona given a huge €37m transfer fee the Catalans paid for him. The Portuguese arrived at the Camp Nou stadium in the summer of 2016, however, he failed to settle in here and even admitted he was struggling psychologically due to enormous pressure. Eventually, he was loaned to Everton for just €2.25m.
