Ten Hag sheds light on his future amid Barca links
- The 49-year-old spoke to the media ahead of facing De Graafschap.
- Erik ten Hag claims he doesn't consider leaving the team in summer.
- He is thinking about the future with the Amsterdam side.
- Barcelona have reportedly identified the Ajax coach as Ernesto Valverde's potential heir.
"I have a contract here at Ajax, I am enjoying my time here and I am already thinking about the future. I am not thinking about leaving," the Dutch manager told reporters during his press conference ahead of the final Eredivisie game of the season.
Earlier, it has been reported by the Evening Standard, that ten Hag and Ronald Koeman are considered by Barcelona as Ernesto Valverde's potential heirs.
Both Dutchmen promote attacking football and know Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt who are expected to play at Barca next season. Koeman has more experience but ten Hag's football is closer to the one of Pep Guardiola.
It also must be noted that Valverde still has a chance to spend another year in Barcelona. It is expected that more news will appear after the Copa del Rey final against Valencia. The board members do not want to distract the players from the last trophy of the season and will not make any huge decisions before May 25.
