Sport Bild: Barcelona could consider a big-money move for German wonderkid Havertz
- The 19-year-old attacking midfielder isn't short of options.
- He could cost around 100 million euros.
- Havertz has scored 19 goals in 41 matches in all competitions.
- However, his current club Leverkusen would only consider selling him if they fail to reach UCL for the next season.
Another impressive starlet is said to be on the Barcelona radar. According to highly influential German newspaper Sport Bild, the Catalans are following closely the situation of Bayer Leverkusen 19-year-old attacking midfielder Kai Havertz. He won't come cheaply, however, as he is expected to cost around 100 million euros.
Havertz has been particularly impressive in the last two years. This season alone he has scored 19 goals in 41 matches in all competitions, the best tally for a Bundesliga teenager. His versatility also allows the 19-year-old to play as a right winger or an attacking midfielder.
Havertz's player profile, as per Transfermarkt:
Sport Bild believe Leverkusen are going to keep hold of their precious asset. However, everything depends on their Champions League qualification. Should they fail to finish fourth this season, they may lose to Havertz as a number of the world-class European clubs are interested in him, including fellow Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, as well as La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
