Ex-Barca president not amused with Griezmann saga and the 'exaggerated' prices
- There is a strong rumour that the Frenchman could join the Catalan giants this summer.
- However, ex-Blaugrana chief Laporta says: "I think most Barca fans don't want him, and on top fo that, I think the prices they are saying are exaggerated."
Everything indicates that Antoine Griezmann is going to end up at Barcelona in the near future, however, not everyone is taking this potential transfer lightly. Barcelona former president, Joan Laporta, gives his verdict on this much-discussed-about rumour, as quoted by Diario Sport:
"I think most Barca fans don't want him, and on top of that, I think the prices they are saying are exaggerated. I think that there are other players with great potential who could do perfectly what Griezmann could at Barca."
Nevertheless, he is set to support this transfer if it eventually happens. Laporta continues: "I don't like to get stuck into sporting matters because if he comes, we'll be the first, all the Barca fans, to support him, just with other players that have come."
Our users are not Griezmann's fans either:
Antoine Griezmann announced his decision to leave Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night. This sensation comes just 11 months after Griezmann's infamous 30-minute-long movie in which he publicly revealed he rejected Barcelona's offer and pledged loyalty to Atleti. Now the Catalans are set to pay his 120million release clause, however, Paris Saint-Germain is said to be in the race as well.
