Frenkie de Jong addresses the press following Ajax's historic Eredivisie win. The Dutch giants have snatched the domestic double this season with future Barcelona star scoring four goals in all competitions.
He is set to join Barcelona for the 2019/2020 season and admits he is already looking forward to training alongside Leo Messi who has always been his idol.
Fox Sports quote De Jong as saying: "I am so excited to see Messi during training, I think I am just going to pass every ball to him, haha! I won’t change the way I am no matter if I will receive more spotlights at Barcelona. I am curious how I will perform there and I am eager to learn from the best around me there."
Previously, De Jong refused to discuss his potential wages at the Camp Nou stadium, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo: "What am I going to earn? [Laughs]. That's not something I will discuss. I am happy with what I am doing now and what I am going to do at Barca. Money does not necessarily buy happiness."
