Balague explains how Chelsea can sign Coutinho this summer
- Chelsea reportedly view Philippe Coutinho as the man to replace Eden Hazard.
- €100m and assurance over the key player role is all that any potential contenders for the Brazilian need to sign him, according to Guillem Balague.
Eden Hazard is likely to join Real Madrid right after the Europa League final, thus, Chelsea have reportedly identified a list of potential replacements for the Belgian. According to highly-reputable Goal, Barca midfielder Philippe Coutinho is the Blues' top priority.
While the Catalans remain silent on the player's future at Camp Nou, Guillem Balague has claimed €100m and assurance over the key player role from any other club would make Barca bosses let the 26-year-old go.
“Coutinho is not on the market. That’s what Barcelona are saying. His agent is saying he doesn’t want to go," said the La Liga expert on his YouTube channel.
“But I think if someone came with 100 million and an offer that made him an important player, perhaps the most important player on this other club, then we’re talking.”
Coutinho's future could be affected by Antoine Griezmann's potential arrival at Barcelona, as per various reports. However, the Brazilian's agent Andrea Bertolucci has recently denied all the talks about Coutinho's exit. He told AS: "It's untrue that Griezmann is going to replace Philippe at Barcelona.
"I don't know why they are saying that. I don't know about that and that's why I don't want to talk any more, but it's false."
Still, Chelsea would have to wait until CAS's decision on a two-window ban imposed on the club by FIFA to plan any summer moves in the transfer market.
