The Serbian is 10 years younger than Madrid's Karim Benzema and is seen as a long term replacement for the French forward given that the two share pretty much similar attributes.
Barcelona were interested in Jovic as well but the Serbian sensation decided to reject the Catalans' approach. He finds the Madrid's offer more attractive and wants to play under Zinedine Zidane.
Aside from that, Madrid and Frankfurt have traditionally enjoyed good relations with the likes of Jesús Vallejo, Omar Mascarell and Lucas Torró all having a stint at the Commerzbank-Arena.
As for the Blaugrana, we are inches close to signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. The player has already announced his departure from Diego Simeone's side and is expected to join the Catalans soon.
