Lautaro's agent confirms strong Barca interest
- Alberto Yaque agrees there is a "liking" on the part of Barcelona.
- However, the player's agent claims there have been no direct attempts to sign the player.
- Lautaro Martinez is called Messi's "best partner possible" due to their effective interconnection in the national team.
"The voice of Barcelona's interest is true. It is certain that there is a liking on the part of Barcelona."
Meanwhile, both the player and the agent haven't got any direct bids on the table.
"Nobody called us, but we know that there is a strong, important survey."
According to the Argentinian source Radio La Red, Barca are apparently willing to pay Inter Milan €112m for the 21-year-old so they can take some pressure of Luis Suarez next season. Lautaro only joined Inter last summer for around €30m and has recently agreed to extend his contract with Italian club for another year, until 2024.
After just one season at San Siro with 9 goals scored in 35 games, the forward's price has quadrupled. However, the deal won't be an easy one to achieve: new Inter boss Antonio Conte wants to keep Martinez and would rather offload former La Masia graduate Mauro Icardi.
People also call Lautaro Messi's "best partner possible" due to the latest Copa America performance by the two, when the duo has shown a perfect interconnection between each other in the attacking phase.
