Valdes: 'I'd like to succeed just as if I were a player'
- Victor Valdes has been confirmed as Barca's U-19 coach.

Former Barcelona goalkeeper has told about his intentions as a new Juvenil A coach at the Catalan club.
“As a coach, I'm still very ambitious, just as I was as a player," told Valdes to the official club media.
Barcelona have recently signed the contract with the club's former player until 2020.
The Juvenil A will start the pre-season on July 29 with the inauguration match at the Johan Cruyff Arena scheduled for August 27. The Barca youngsters will face the Ajax youth team.
Victor recently got his UEFA Pro coaching badge from the Spanish Football Federation alongside ex-teammate Xavi and former Real Madrid players Raul and Xabi Alonso. Having finished his professional career, he took over Moratalaz's U19 team, a small club close to Madrid.
After winning the league title, the team proceeded to beat Real Madrid Juvenil C team to win the league winner’s cup, something the team has never done before. It certainly looks like Victor is a very promising coach, who is already trying to implement the basic principles of Juego de Posicion with his youth side.
As a player, Victor Valdes has been a part of Blaugrana since 1992. He made an overall number of 387 appearances for the first team before being departed to Manchester United in the twilight of his career.
