"Well, I called my father and I started to cry with happiness because I was there, everything was done. I was with my friends, my wife and my children and it was an incredible moment," tells the World Champion in an exclusive interview with MARCA.
The 28-year-old also speaks about the pressure during this period of time.
"There was a lot of stress and pressure to finalize it all. I just wanted to end my holiday and start this new challenge."
Antoine Griezmann was confirmed as FC Barcelona's new player exactly a week ago. The Catalans paid his €120m release clause and the Frenchman was free to leave Atletico Madrid and sign a five-year deal with Barca.
