Mundo Deportivo: Bayern Munich offer Alaba plus money for Dembele
- Ousmane has been on the Bavarians' watchlist.
- They offered Alaba and an unspecified amount of money in exchange for the winger.
- Barca have rejected the deal saying that Dembele is not for sale.
- The Catalans will now try to sign David.
According to Barcelona-based news outlet Mundo Deportivo, Bayern Munich have offered David Alaba plus cash in a swap deal for Ousmane Dembele. Reportedly, the Catalans have rejected the offer deeming the 22-year-old non-transferable.
The same outlet claims that Barcelona will now try to sign Bayern's left-back. When the first approach for the Austrian had been made, the Bavarians told Blaugrana that Alaba is not for sale. However, the Catalans are positive about a possible deal.
Considering that David had been offered in an exchange deal, it is obvious that the 27-year-old is on the market and the German club rejecting the offer is just a matter of formality. Barca like the player for his versatility: he can play as a left-back, centre-back, defensive midfielder and central midfielder.
Moreover, Alaba is said to be displeased by the fact that Bayern offered him to other clubs and is now open to an exit. The Austria international had also been offered to Manchester City in a similar bid for Leroy Sane.
Additionally, the Bavarians brought in ex-Atletico Madrid Lucas Hernandez who is set to replace David in the starting XI.
