Diario Sport: Barca and PSG to resolve Neymar situation in the coming days
- Neymar is reportedly eager to rejoin Barca.
- The Catalans are yet to submit an offer for the winger, PSG sporting director claims.
- The three parties have reportedly identified the next week to make the deal happen.
After almost two months of continuous speculations, could the Neymar saga finally reach its end? Well, according to Diario Sport's front page for Sunday, July 21, it is possible. Reportedly, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Neymar have identified the next week as key in the negotiations and all parties want the deal to be reached as soon as possible.
"The week of truth," reads the front page.
"Barca, Neymar and PSG have identified the next days to focus on the Brazilians transfer.
"The French club, who are already in discussion over Dybala as a replacement, are in a hurry to close the deal."
Reportedly, the Catalans are interested in bringing back their ex-player. However, the club is still to make an offer for the Brazilian, as the PSG's sporting director claims:
"Honestly, nothing's different from what it was last time we spoke [at a presser]. Nothing at all. Nothing's moved, and there's no concrete offer for Neymar. He's with us, he's a PSG player."
"Barcelona offering a swap deal? I repeat, there's no concrete offer. It's the same situation as it was 10 days ago.
However, according to Barcelona-expert and top source Graham Hunter, Blaugrana will push hard for the 27-year-old as Leo Messi reportedly wants his ex-teammate and friend back:
"Messi is a central player in all of this. Messi is not a stroppy player - people have portrayed him as such falsely. But when he sneezes, Barcelona catches a cold," tells Graham during the Transfer Talk podcast.
"Whether Messi is saying 'get me Neymar' or whether he's whispering 'before we sit down to negotiate, I want the front line reinforced with Neymar', the fact is: Messi wants Neymar back."
Neymar is now set to continue at Paris Saint-Germain for the time being. He has recently resumed training with the Parisians and could even travel with his current team to the pre-season tour to China with the friendlies against Inter Milan and Australian giants Syndey FC.
