Filipe Luis urges Neymar to rejoin Barcelona 'for sake of Brazilian football'
- The Brazilian forward continues to be linked with Barca return.
- The left-back insists that Neymar will be happier at the Camp Nou.
- Filipe Luis reckons that Ney's return will help Selesao as well.
Filipe Luis would like to see his fellow Brazilian Neymar joining Barcelona again for one particular reason. The left-back, who has just left Atletico after eight years at the club, reckons that this transfer would help Selesao.
"I want him to end up at Barcelona," he told the 'Tiempo de Juego' radio show on Cadena COPE and Radio MARCA. "Neymar is happy at Barcelona. I want him to have fun and to be by the side of Lionel Messi. I hope, for the good of Brazilian football, that Neymar goes back to Barcelona.
"But I don't think that will be easy," Luis concluded.
Neymar's possible return to Camp Nou is one of the hottest topics in world football at the moment. However, the Ney rumours have even been denied by one of Barca's officials. The Catalans' vice-president Jordi Cardoner revealed in a recent interview, that, in fact, there is nothing going on:
"The president has already said it, there is no Neymar case.
"It is a case that does not exist, it is true that it is topical, there has been a lot of talk and it seems that the player is not comfortable there but we are not considering it," he told TV3.
As for Filipe Luis, the 33-year-old has recently admitted that he has got a preferable offer from Flamengo. While the Catalans reportedly decided to bring in a younger left-back who would compete with Alba and replace him once the 30-year-old is too old to play regularly. Numerous previous reports claim that Real Betis's Junior Firpo might be the chosen one.
