'To help his integration, I talk to him in Spanish': Puig and De Jong form a bromance
- De Jong predicts a big future for his Catalan colleague.
- Puig, meanwhile, reveals he is helping the Dutchman to settle in at Barca.
Looks like we have a new bromance here at FC Barcelona. 22-year-old Frenkie de Jong and 19-year-old Riqui Puig has both impressed a lot during Tuesday's friendly defeat against Chelsea. Even though the Dutchman replaced the Spaniard, it's obvious the two have already formed a bond after a series of training sessions.
Moreover, both players seem to be very fond of each other as they have said in their respective interviews following the 2-1 Chelsea defeat.
De Jong predicts a big future for Puig, as quoted by Diario Sport: "He's very talented. I think that we can be excited about his future."
Puig, meanwhile, opens up on how he helps the Dutchman to settle in at Barca: "He's adapting well to the group and to help his integration I talk to him in Spanish."
Both players are already described as the future of the Barcelona midfield. However, Puig insists he still has to learn as he is set to remain at Barcelona B for the time being.
