ESPN: Barca plan to raise €150m in player sales, six candidates to leave revealed
- Originally, the Catalans wanted to receive €250m through the player sales with €80m already earned since the start of the summer.
- Still, more departures are expected with Coutinho, Malcom and Rafinha named the priority targets for the club to offload.
- Meanwhile, Rakitic, Umtiti and Vidal could also leave if a suitable offer arrives.
FC Barcelona are still planning a huge summer exodus, according to the most recent report in ESPN FC. Originally, the Catalans targeted earning €250million. So far, they have only managed to offload Jasper Cillessen, Andre Gomes, Denis Suarez, Marc Cucurella, Marc Cardona and Sergi Palencia for 'just' €80m.
That would make Barcelona even more active on the transfer market. According to ESPN, there are three primary candidates to leave and three others whose potential exit could still be discussed.
However, ESPN also claim there hasn't been a single concrete offer for either of the players. This could hamper their potential exits, especially considering the fact that the transfer window in the Premier League shuts down on August 8.
ESPN also reveal alleged prices Barcelona value their fringe players at. Despite his huge €160m transfer fee, Coutinho would be allowed to leave for around €105m. A possible Liverpool return has been widely discussed.
For Malcom, meanwhile, the Catalans would likely ask €40m, the same sum they signed him for last year.
Finally, Rafinha is believed to be close to join Valencia for €15m even though Los Che haven't yet met Barca's financial demands yet.
As for Rakitic, Umtiti and Vidal, as it has already been mentioned, they are not pushed for an exit. Still, Barcelona reportedly question their respective future at the club. If a suitable offer arrives, the Catalans could consider letting either of them leave.
On Tuesday, after the Chelsea defeat, Ernesto Valverde has already hinted at Rakitic's potential departure.
