Sky: Barcelona improve offer for Firpo
- The Catalans offer €27m for the 22-year-old.
- This could be just enough for Betis to agree on a deal.
- The first offer was flatly rejected by Verdiblancos.
Blaugrana improve their deal and offer a considerable sum of €27m for the left-back.
Earlier reports mentioned that Betis value their gem at €25m which means that the Catalans have made a large step further in the negotiations.
The first bid, which was allegedly much lower than the second one, was imminently denied by Betis.
Junior Firpo is 22 years old. Last season, he made 31 appearances for Real Betis in all competitions and scored three goals. Curiously, one of the goals arrived in the infamous 4-3 away win at FC Barcelona. Despite Leo Messi's brace, the Seville-based side were relentless and inflicted the Catalans the first home loss in La Liga in YEARS.
