- Suarez is pictured landing in the Catalan capital with his family.
- He is set to resume training on Monday, July 29.
- The Uruguayan is said to be determined to put the disappointing season behind him.
- Griezmann's arrival is not expected to limit his playing time.
Thursday's edition of the Barcelona-based newspaper Diario Sport is dedicated to Luis Suarez. The headline read: 'Suarez returns strong'.
The Uruguayan is pictured landing in the Barcelona airport with his wife and kids. The source believes he could return to training next Monday, on July 29. In fact, Suarez is going to be the first Blaugrana player who featured at the Copa America to rejoin training sessions.
Sport claim the Uruguayan is determined to accelerate his preparations for the upcoming campaign as he has also reportedly put the disappointing 2018/2019 season behind him. Moreover, he is said to have finally recovered from the knee injury. Suarez was forced to have surgery in May and missed the crucial Copa del Rey final against Valencia which the Catalans sadly lost 2-1.
Sport also say that Suarez is also ready to welcome Antoine Griezmann at Barcelona, something he has already done through the text messages. Finally, the Catalan top source doesn't believe Barca starting line-up is going to change drastically due to the Frenchman's arrival. Neymar's potential comeback could possibly alter the formation, however.
Sport predict Valverde to use the traditional 4-3-3 system with Antoine Griezmann on the left, Lionel Messi on the right and Luis Suarez as a centre-forward.
Last season, Suarez scored 25 goals in 49 games. He finished the season as the second-best La Liga goalscorer with 21 goals, however, he only managed to find the net ONCE during the Champions League campaign.
As for the Copa America tournament, Suarez's Uruguay were eliminated on penalties by Peru in the quarter-finals. The Blaugrana striker missed a penalty in the shootout.
