Carragher wants Liverpool to re-sign Coutinho
- The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a sensational Anfield return.
- Liverpool legend Carragher admits he would love to see bring back him.
- He believes his arrival would help the Reds to edge over Manchester City.
Philippe Coutinho remains at the crossroads. His Barcelona future remains highly doubtful given the Catalans' intentions to offload him in order to raise funds after the big-money signings of Frenkie de Jong and Antoine Griezmann.
A potential Liverpool return has been widely discussed in the press. Even though Jurgen Klopp has recently ruled out the possibility of this 'big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big-money signing', another Reds' legend, Jamie Carragher, would love to see Coutinho back at Anfield.
Carragher feels that the Brazilian would become a missing piece to the puzzle and will surely bring Liverpool that extra edge over Manchester City.
I still think they could add a creative player,” Carragher told Pundit Arena.
“I said it before, I’d love to see Liverpool bring back Coutinho if that was possible in any way. Obviously, it hasn’t worked out for him at Barcelona. I just think he would be a great addition.
“You’ve got [Adam] Lallana and [Xherdan] Shaqiri in those positions, but they’re not Coutinho. He would give something that they don’t have compared to [Manchester] City.”
Previously, Coutinho's agent has surprisingly revealed that his future depends on Liverpool. According to the most recent report from ESPN, Barcelona are determined to offload the Brazilian for the alleged sum of 105 million euros.
