Wague to be upgraded next season - Mundo Deportivo
- Valverde is set to include the Senegalese in the first team.
- Moussa will serve as a back-up for Nelson Semedo.
- Wague joined Barcelona for €5m last summer.
The Senegalese defender Moussa Wague has earned his promotion from Barcelona B, Mundo Deportivo report.
The 20-year-old is going to be a constant back-up option for Nelson Semedo who is expected to be a regular right full-back next season.
It also means that Sergi Roberto will get used to his new role of an interior in the updated Barca's midfield. Ernesto Valverde and even Luis Enrique already tried using Sergi in a more offensive position in the previous seasons, however, the Spaniard usually had to take his place in defence.
As for Wague, the African player was especially impressive during the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia for his strong individual performance. This summer he helped his national team reach play-off stage in the African Cup of Nations.
