Iniesta wants Barca to bring 'one of the best' Neymar back
- The legendary captain is preparing for an emotional friendly against his former club.
- He admits he would like the Catalans to re-sign the Brazilian.
- Iniesta says: "If his signing is going well or badly, that is something the club must conclude."
Legendary Andres Iniesta gives an exclusive interview to Marca as he prepares for an emotional reunion with his former Barcelona teammates. The friendly game against Vissel Kobe is scheduled for Saturday's morning.
Apart from the upcoming match, Iniesta also gives his verdict on the neverending Neymar transfer saga. He backs the Catalans to do everything to re-sign the Brazilian.
Iniesta says: "I have said it many times, for me, as a player, he is one of the best there is. If his signing is going well or badly, that is something the club must conclude. They are considerations of sports management. But as a player, he is one of the best."
Neymar, meanwhile, seems to be eager to reunite with Lionel Messi at Barcelona.
Unfortunately, there is no certainty about Neymar's much-talked-about comeback. Wednesday's report from the French top source L'Equipe provided a worrying update on his future.
Apparently, the Parisians' demands make his transfer virtually impossible. That's why 'the most realistic scenario' is for him to remain at PSG.
Everything indicates that PSG could only allow him to leave for the exact sum they signed him in 2017, the infamous €222million.
