JUST IN: Suarez resumes training

Luis Suarez becomes the first Barcelona player to resume training after the extended holidays due to Copa America participation. This Friday, July 26. the Uruguayan has been pictured at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper working individually while his other teammates are on the pre-season tour to Japan.
FC Barcelona officially confirm that Suarez will join the first-team training on July 31, when the Blaugrana squad return from Japan. The club's official media also share the first pictures of the Uruguayan's individual session in the gym.
As for Suarez's other South American teammates, they are not expected to return to Barcelona until the next week.
Previously, Barcelona-based top source Diario Sport have insisted that Suarez has finally recovered from the knee injury. Suarez was forced to have surgery in May and missed the crucial Copa del Rey final against Valencia which the Catalans sadly lost 2-1.
Last season, Suarez scored 25 goals in 49 games. He finished the season as the second-best La Liga goalscorer with 21 goals, however, he only managed to find the net ONCE during the Champions League campaign.
As for the Copa America tournament, Suarez's Uruguay were eliminated on penalties by Peru in the quarter-finals. The Blaugrana striker missed a penalty in the shootout.
