Classic 4-3-3 vs attacking 4-4-2: Select Blaugrana XI vs Kobe from 3 options!
Leave your choice in the comments and explain your pick! Time is ticking!
Blaugrana are getting ready for their 2nd pre-season test, this time against the J-League side Vissel Kobe on Saturday, July 27.
Valverde must pick out a line-up that would allow him to try new solutions in build-up play and attack and finish the match with a victory. But which line-up would YOU choose? Tribuna.com offer you three variations of the potential line-up, as usual.
Option 1. Classic 4-3-3 with De Jong and Griezmann as starters
With Pique absent, Umtiti could take his place in the squad while De Jong and Griezmann will start right from the first minutes. Sergi Roberto will highly likely emerge in midfield where he started the match against Chelsea, while Carles Alena could appear on the right wing and support the attacking efforts of Antoine Griezmann.
Option 2. 4-3-3 with more La Masia starlets
This is exactly the same option as No.1 in terms of its functioning, though the starting XI looks a little bit different. We've chosen Todibo over Umtiti and Puig over Roberto to provide La Masia more opportunities right from the kick-off. Riqui has already shown that he's up to quality performance just from the beginning while for Todibo this could be a great test if he is to stay at the club and fight for his first-team opportunities.
Option 3. 4-4-2 with some of the best performers vs Chelsea
We all know how much Valverde's keen on using 4-4-2. So, our idea is to include some of the transfer-listed players (Rakitic, Rafinha, Malcom) in order to give them possibly one of their last chances to show what they're worth. Rafinha put a very solid performance against Chelsea, often threatening the opponent's goals, Rakitic scored a stunner...This could be a very offensive option, however, why not trying it against a J-League side?
