Mirror: Arsenal bid €40m for Malcom
- Barca are reportedly set to sell the Brazilian.
- The Gunners need a winger and have reportedly offered €40m for Malcom.
- Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old.
According to a recent report from English outlet Mirror, Arsenal have sent an initial bid of €40m for Barcelona's Malcom. The Gunners are known to be on the market for a winger and the Brazilian is said to have attracted a lot of interest from London.
Moreover, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are willing to let go of the 22-year-old already this summer. However, the Catalans reportedly want at least €50-60m in return for the winger and won't settle for less.
Earlier reports claim that another top club, Borussia Dortmund, are interested in Malcom. Reportedly, the German club are willing to offer €42m for the Brazil international which is slightly above Arsenal's bid.
Malcom is being pushed out Barcelona as there is no place for him in Barca's attack. Moreover, the club would need to clear a non-EU player spot in case they sign Neymar. The other two players who don't have an EU passport, Arthur and Arturo Vidal, are unlikely to leave.
However, during the games against Chelsea and Vissel Kobe in Barca's pre-season in Japan, the Brazilian looked pretty solid despite playing as a centre-forward which isn't his usual position. Considering that Malcom's departure depends on Neymar, the 22-year-old could end up staying at Camp Nou for one more season.
