Griezmann on finally playing with Messi: 'I've thought about it while in bed'
- Griezmann made his unofficial debut for Barca during the Japan tour.
- The Frenchman seems desperate to finally start playing alongside Messi.
- Antoine reveals he has thought a lot about starting playing with Leo.
Barcelona's new signing Antoine Griezmann has already played two matches for Blaugrana: against Chelsea and against Vissel Kobe. Now that the Catalans' Japan tour is over, the Frenchman is set to return to Camp Nou alongside the rest of the squad. With Leo Messi back in town, the 28-year-old seems desperate to start playing with the captain:
"He[Messi] is the best. I'm desperate to finally play alongside him. I want to meet him, get to know him, watch him in training, play alongside him, and provide assists... it'll be really nice."
"I've thought about it when I'm in bed, at training, and watching videos. You make the 'film' in your head and I know it'll go well."
"[I want] to be an important player for the present and future. I hope I can help the club grow and the club, in turn, help me grow too."
How does a Griezmann-Suarez-Messi frontline sound to you?
"Very good! On paper, it sounds really good. Later you have to show it out on the pitch, but I trust us, I trust the team."
Would it be crazy to add Neymar to that forward line?
"Let's see what happens. There are a lot of details to a transfer. Neymar is world-class, a top player, so he could fit in at Barça."
Do you think Antoine's addition will significantly improve Messi's game?
