FC Barcelona are preparing for a massive summer exodus in order to balance the books after the big-money arrivals of both Frenkie de Jong and Antoine Griezmann. However, some players have already been declared 'non-transferable' even though they would prefer getting more opportunities to feature. One of them is Nelson Semedo.
Barcelona-based Diario Sport report that Barcelona have rejected Manchester City's approach for the Portuguese full-back. They insist Semedo is not for sale unless his €100million release clause is met. Moreover, the same source believes the Catalans could offer the defender a renewal even though his current deal only expires in 2022.
Allegedly, Barcelona value Semedo's qualities greatly and don't want to lose him. Moreover, he has already attracted interest from varios top clubs which may have obviously boosted his transfer value. After all, the Catalans have reportedly rejected several offers for the full-back from the unnamed clubs from England, Italy and Spain.
Meanwhile, Semedo was previously linked with Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Multiple sources predicted him to be a part of an Antoine Griezmann or Neymar respective deals which is no longer a case.
What about Semedo? He registered just 42% of total minutes in all competitions last season. Allegedly, he isn't satisfied with the amount of the playing time he is getting at Barcelona.
