RAC1 provide HUGE update on Neymar's transfer saga
- Barca and Neymar allegedly work on the potential loan deal with an obligation to buy.
- PSG are said to be 'appreciating' this option.
- Previously, the Parisians demanded only cash for the Brazilian.
Boom! Another twist in the neverending Neymar transfer saga has just been reported by highly reliable Gerard Romero from RAC1. He states that there is a possibility of the Brazilian rejoining the Catalan giants on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
He writes on his personal Twitter account that Neymar's entourage and Barcelona are currently working on this transfer. Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, are said to be 'appreciating' this option. If the Parisians accept a loan deal, it would be extremely surprising, though. Previously, it has been widely reported that they would only consider a full transfer fee.
In any case, there is still no official confirmation whether the Neymar case is even on. Romero believes the upcoming week would be crucial in the whole operation.
If Romero's report is true, Barca would have to orchestrate the so-called 'Mbappe formula'. Curiously, the Parisians themselves used that method to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco the same summer they brought in Neymar.
In order to avoid punishment for breaking the Financial Fair Play rules, PSG signed Mbappe on a loan deal with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2017. Before that, they already secured the record-breaking €222million Neymar transfer. The next year, the Parisians completed the permanent signing of the Frenchman for a whopping €135million.
Neymar, meanwhile, is determined to return to Barcelona. Earlier on Tuesday, Diario Sport have revealed that PSG would prefer selling him to any other club rather than PSG. They have even offered the Brazilian to Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, as per the same source.
