Ex-Madridista Callejon: 'I want to beat Barcelona because of my past'
- Callejon used to play for Blancos between 2011 and 2013 before leaving for Napoli.
- He says: "I want to beat Barcelona. It's a special game for me because of my past."
- In total, Callejon has faced the Catalans 16 times but only managed to win four games.
Barcelona will play Napoli in the double-header friendly hosted in Miami and Michigan respectively. The first game is set to place already on Thursday's early morning. Gerard Pique has addressed the press ahead of this game while Napoli's Jose Callejon has also spoken with the media.
Callejon used to play for Real Madrid between 2011 and 2013 before joining Napoli for just €9,5million. However, he doesn't seem to have forgotten his Los Blancos' past.
That's what he says on the upcoming Barcelona game, as quoted by Marca: "I want to beat Barcelona. It's a special game for me because of my past. It's a friendly, but it's very important for us. We've played well against both Liverpool and Marseille."
In total, Callejon has faced Barcelona 16 times and only managed to beat them four times.
Curiously, another ex-Madridista has recently played against Barcelona as well. Infamous Dani Ceballos wanted to bomb the Camp Nou stadium some years ago. On Sunday, he stepped into the same stadium during the Joan Gamper trophy while playing for his new club Arsenal. Some moments afterwards he was fouled by Clement Lenglet and is now unable to train.
