Sport: Ecuadorian star youngster snubs Barca for...LA Galaxy
- Diego Palacios has chosen the MLS side because of a better offer made.
- The 20-year-old was earlier set to join Barca B on a two-season loan deal.
- The left-back scored three goals in 32 matches for Willem II last season.
Sometimes it happens.
Ecuadorian wonder-kid Diego Palacios has reportedly chosen Los Angeles Galaxy instead of Barca as his next destination.
The reason for a surprising decision seems to be an MLS's side bid on better financial terms.
The Ecuadorian left-back, who played for Dutch side Willem II last season, should have already signed for Barcelona as an agreement with the Catalan club has been reached back in June, but an unfortunate bout of appendicitis has delayed his arrival.
Palacios joined Willem II on loan from Ecuadorian Serie B club, Aucas, last summer and went on to make 32 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing five assists in the process.
Palacios' market value has experienced an upward turn as he was an important squad member of Ecuador U-20 who managed to reach a quarter-final stage of the Youth World Cup in Poland.
