Xavi and Al-Sadd are through to the Asian Champions League quarterfinals.
Barca's legendary playmaker managed to claim a confident home win after finishing the first fixture in a 1-1 draw. Despite losing the second match statistically, Al-Sadd was better at making their chances pay.
Reportedly, Barcelona want to appoint Xavi as the club's coach at a later point. Moreover, presidential candidate Victor Font has spoken on several occasions about his intention to bring the ex-player to Catalonia if he wins the 2021 elections.
Xavi signed a two-year contract at the Qatari club, which means he will be available to take over Barca if font wins the 2021 presidential elections.
