Busquets and Miranda in high demand: Dutch, German and Spanish clubs all interested
- The 20-year-old midfielder is wanted by PSV and Borussia Monchengladbach.
- Busquets' potential breakthrough is virtually impossible due to an abundance of the midfielders.
- The 19-year-old defender has suitors from Germany, France and native Spain as well.
- Miranda was considered to be Jordi Alba's back-up but the Catalans signed Junior Firpo instead.
Barcelona B prepare for a huge exodus. A number of the players would consider moving elsewhere to get more opportunities as the biggest stage possible, not the third-tier Spanish football with Barcelona B. The likeliest candidates to leave are Oriol Busquets and Juan Miranda. Both of them were tipped to earn the first-team promotion, however, the situation has changed significantly.
20-year-old midfielder Oriol Busquets showed glimpses of his undeniable talent during the pre-season tour to Japan. However, the current abundance of the midfielders makes his potential breakthrough virtually impossible. Luckily, he isn't short of the options.
According to Mundo Deportivo, four clubs have expressed their interest in Busquets. These are Utrecht, PSV Eindhoven (both Eredivisie), as well as Borussia Monchengladbach and Fortuna Dusseldorf (both Bundesliga). Joining PSV or Gladbach would provide the youngster with the Europa League football.
Busquets hasn't yet made a single appearance in La Liga. However, he has completed 117 minutes across two games in the Copa del Rey. Moreover, the midfielder has been involved in the UEFA Youth League football as he has made 15 appearances in three seasons.
As for Juan Miranda, he has even more suitors, as per the same source. These are Utrecht, Marseille, Schalke, Borussia Monchengladbach and a number of the Spanish sides, including Mallorca, Granada and Betis. Previously, the left-back was considered to be Jordi Alba's potential back-up but the arrival of Junior Firpo has closed the door for the youngster.
Miranda has made four appearances for the Barcelona first team. He even completed the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 home draw against Tottenham in the last season's final game of the group stage. Miranda also won the UEFA Youth League back in 2018 as he provided five assists during the title-winning campaign.
